I think the secret to getting by in life is to live, love, and laugh. It is all too easy to let the heart turn to stone and to turn away from the world and not care. My own situation through life as well as those of my friends has taught me this. It takes a great deal of inner strength to live in this world with a passionate heart for life.

While it is cliché, to live fully it is to “Dream as if you’ll live forever and live as if you’ll die today.” This quote really means to take full advantage of the days and moments you have with every opportunity. Life gives you no warranties or guarantees, or a thirty day trials, because there is just no promises in tomorrow. I used to exist in a never-ending depression, it was my eclipse – when I started to live, to experience moments with my friends, like going to the movies, daybreak came into my life.

The ability to laugh is one of the greatest abilities to have, to laugh at yourself, to laugh in the moments that are meant to be laughed at. When I look at the choices I have made, I laugh sometimes at the sheer stupidity of it, since I have learned something valuable. Sometimes I laugh with my friends about a memory that we share or we bring up one to share to make our hurting friend to laugh. Laughter is the medicine for the hurting, the brokenhearted, the depressed, because it is a cure for the soul, and occasionally just temporary relief – though it is better than naught. It takes more muscles in the face to frown than it is to smile.

I left this one for last for a good reason, because it is so vital to living in this world. To love, to care, it makes me vulnerable like everyone else, we become sensitive to those who I let into my circle of friends. If I do not care, then who will? While I am not a wealthy person or able to do a great extent but a caring heart, a shoulder to shed tears on and an ear to listen to is more than enough for some people. My friends and I just need to talk to someone sometimes, to share what is going on to ease that pain in our hearts. So we love each other and even people we do not know, it helps all of us.

In this style that I live, it allows me to smile at the end of the day. Obviously I cannot stop the pain from entering my life because that is scarcely impossible. The honest truth is that life is unfair and it can be agonizing and tedious. I cannot justify life, though if we live this way in life, our existence is a tad easier.  There are various other qualities – though there is none like these three to get you through life.
